As we call for a progressive leadership at DepEd, we urge the national government to prioritize the implementation of these laws, policies, and programs.\u201d, Santos added. <br \/><br \/>Prof. Flora Arellano, E-Net OIC-National Coordinator also stressed that \u201cIt is a necessity that the new DepEd Secretary must be a strong advocate of child protection and child rights policy, a champion of teachers\u2019 rights and welfare, exercises transparency and accountability, and open and willing to collaborate with civil society organizations (CSOs) and other stakeholders in advancing a genuinely progressive education agenda.\u201d <br \/><br \/>E-Net Philippines further emphasized that the new DepEd leadership must continue to work on institutionalizing education reforms that prioritize inclusivity and equity, taking into account the various perspectives of human rights, gender equality, disability and social inclusion. ###### <br \/><br \/><br
