E-Net Philippines received the Gawad Kaagapay Award in theDeped City Schools Division of Kidapawan Stakeholders’ Convergence and Recognition Program

E-Net Philippines has joined the movement to #ReclaimPublicEducation and protect education from the threats of privatisation!

The future of human society depends on our collective commitment to public education.

Specifically, we call for action in five key areas:
1. Prioritise the public.
2. Robustly fund public education.
3. Stop funding education privatisation.
4. Regulate and enforce regulations on private actors.
5. A narrative change. We call for a change in the narrative that instead highlights the successes of public education.

The statement is also based on a wider position paper published by the consortium and sets out the reasons that public education is needed more than ever, the forces at work which are actively eroded public education’s ability to meet its mandates, and key asks for anyone making education policy on how to reverse these trends
