Capacity Building of E-Net Members and Partners on Local Policy Advocacy, June 18-20, 2023; Brgy. Klubi, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato
Indigenous leaders including youth from T’boli and Ubo tribes of Lake Sebu participated in a 3-day Capacity Building which focused on Local Policy Advocacy & Community Mobilization, Local Budget & Accreditation Processes and Role of People’s Organizations. Status of IPRA implementation in Lake Sebu was also discussed. Workshops and a half-day planning session were also conducted for deeper understanding of the community’s needs, challenges, and resources and for effective advocacy strategies that are relevant to the local context.
E-Net Philippines contributes in local capacity building of its member organizations and partners. Building the capacity of local members enables them to take ownership of the issues affecting their community. When people have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to advocate for their needs and rights, they become more empowered to bring about positive change, from within and for their communities.
Special thanks to E-Net member organization KLUBI Kestifun ne Kehebol Yom Ketengan (4K) at kay Ate Chita Sulan para sa pangunahing paghahanda at sa malaking pagsisikap para maging matagumpay ang aktibidad.
